Hi.

Welcome to my blog. I document my adventures in travel, style, and food. Hope you have a nice stay!

Albert Hammond Jr.

The Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond Jr. releases his third solo album, Momentary Masters, on July 31 via Vagrant. Rogue caught up with Hammond Jr. in New York to chat about his solo career, his twenties and his future. Check out Rogue's debut print issue in September for the full story.

On the early Strokes days:

My 20’s were just seven days a week…music and going to bars and hanging out. You know, I lost my whole life.

On Momentary Masters

I wanted to see if I could stand on my own two feet, so I wanted to re-establish myself as a solo artist. I feel like the record is half entertainment and half layers of different thoughts that I’ve had about many things. I feel like when you get excited is when you want to do work. You don’t really want to create until you feel this overwhelming excitement about doing something.

On sobriety:

You don’t really have your brain when you stop doing drugs like that.
